Reuter West power plant – Berlin

For BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we erected Layher Allround modular scaffolding at the Reuter West combined heat and power plant in Berlin. The scaffolding was built directly inside the plant's process areas during a planned shutdown, where safe access had to be provided to pipe runs, boilers, fans and other technology.

The project included access towers, working decks on several levels and scaffolding in confined spaces, including the inside of pipes and air ducts. The work followed the fixed shutdown schedule, with emphasis on worker safety, coordination with other trades and a smooth handover of the technology back into operation.
